With JDA Size Scaling, you will be able to work at this fine level of detail! By rapidly reviewing a massive input of POS data, Size Scaling will determine a best-fit size template for ordering, allocation and replenishment by style, class or department. By basing your decisions on sales patterns by store and time period, you’ll dramatically increase your in-stock position with the most profitable sizes on a store-by-store basis. Training includes key Size Scaling features:
- Store-level size demand history used to determine size scales by product by location:
- Results in better accuracy of size scales and inventory targeting
- Pre-pack optimization to select optimal size/color packs:
- Matches pack configuration for all stores to specific size demand
for each store with minimal error
- Single set of pre-pack constraints can be applied to multiple size groupings simultaneously (styles, colors, etc.)
- Store-level volumes can be sourced from history or forecast
- Optimal packs generated for each size grouping and distribution error calculated
Understanding and managing multiple product sizes for a large number of stores is challenging in today’s environment. Students in the Size Scaling class will learn to identify store groups and customer size preferences in order to plan product purchases. This “Hands’On” workshop provides students critical practice developing store groups, analyzing size preferences, and developing pre-pack purchase quantities.
