Demand Planner I: Getting Started - This certification course introduces the student to the basic concepts of JDA's Demand Planning application and demonstrates how JDA Demand drives planning activities across the demand driven enterprise. You build your foundational skills by working with the application to process and understand typical forecasting techniques and learn to manage daily workloads through exception management and methods of analyzing history and fine-tuning of the forecast.

Demand Planner II: Working Smarter - This certification course builds upon the foundational knowledge developed and mastered in the Level I certification to enable you to further refine your skills. Key topics include: using flexible editor pages for analysis, refining the statistical forecast, causal factors, lag & time analysis impacts on forecast performance.

Demand Planner III: Leading The Way - This is the pinnacle Demand Planner certification program. At this point you have solid understanding and keen sense of your business. This certification course offers you an opportunity to refine and hone your skills from a management perspective. Leaders need to be able to manage a diverse team of planners and drive business value through the demand function. With this in mind, we provide an opportunity for hands-on scenario-based learning. Through networking and group discussion we help you solve the most challenging demand situations from a management perspective in a workshop setting.

The Elements of Demand - This course provides the fundamental knowledge and hands-on experience necessary for using the Demand application from a project team perspective. Students learn and evaluate the various forecasting algorithms used when creating and modifying product forecasts. Students also learn about the Demand Planning cycle and how the Demand application is used to facilitate each step in the cycle. After obtaining the net forecast, students apply the tools in Demand to analyze the forecast and learn methods of improving forecast accuracy. Hands-on exercises and demonstrations by the instructor provide emphasis on specific features and functionality of the application. When participants complete this training, they are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to plan effectively for a Demand implementation or upgrade.

JDA Demand Functionality Upgrade Overview - JDA Demand is an advanced planning solution used to create an accurate demand forecast. This course provides the fundamental knowledge and hands-on experience necessary for anyone that requires a high-level overview of the changes between 6.x versions and v7.4.x. The instructor-led course included in this course includes hands-on exercises and demonstrations that provide emphasis on new features and functionality of the solution. Participants can apply the knowledge from the training and start using JDA Demand in their Forecasting & Planning tasks.

Working With Demand Classification for Forecast Accuracy - This three-hour virtual classroom session provides a high-level overview of the demand classification functionality within JDA’s Demand Planning application. Demand Classification is a process of segmenting products into pre-defined groups based on the statistical analysis of their historical data. Key topics include: an introduction to concepts of history classes and the key steps in the overall demand classification algorithm as it relates to demand forecasts and modifying new DFU models recommended as a result of optimization.

Using Market Manager for Forecast Accuracy - This three-hour virtual classroom session provides a high-level overview of the JDA Market Manager application. Demand integrates with the JDA Market Manager application to effectively plan for market activities that will affect the statistical forecast in a business environment. This session gives users an introduction to Market Manager and its objectives as it relates to business process. It presents the concepts of the basics of creating and updating market activities affecting business and viewing the corresponding statistical forecasts.

Basics of JDA Reporting - JDA Reporting is a web-based reporting solution which addresses an organization’s reporting requirements for their supply chain. JDA Reporting & Analytics provides increased network and trading partner visibility, consolidating key data elements that enable you to monitor and measure your company and supply chain performance. This three-day instructor-led workshop, designed for users responsible for building and using reports and queries, provides the fundamental knowledge and hands-on experience necessary for using the Reporting solution to manage and assess the health and performance of your business and the supply chain.

JDA Reporting Technical - This instructor-led workshop provides the basic knowledge required to install, configure, and administer the JDA Reporting application including application architecture. Participants also learn about the client tool named Framework Manager for metadata modeling and about the web user interfaces for authoring and viewing reports, Report Studio. Additional discussion will cover security settings and server administration. This workshop is targeted towards technical associates who are responsible for configuring the application and working with the metadata layer.

Understanding a product’s repeatable seasonal pattern is critical to interpreting historical sales and subsequently generating an accurate forecast of future demand. Achieving optimized replenishment requires accurate seasonal profiles coupled with strategic analysis. In order to follow sound forecasting practices, you must have a clear-cut representation of the selling curve for the year, for a product and for a location. Without such profiles, your forecast could confuse normal selling with the elevated levels of business that might occur during the holiday season, for example, a high growth trend in December, may accelerate the receipt of products to unrealistic levels in January.

Learn to use JDA Seasonal Profiling for the advanced techniques and computing power to produce profiles at low levels of the product hierarchy, on a location-by-location basis and with indications of individual location/product time curves. JDA Seasonal Profiling will also automatically revise your profiles in-season using new performance data. The numerical techniques used by JDA Seasonal Profiling allow accurate profiling even for low-volume and low frequency items, all implemented using automation for review of tens to hundreds of millions of location/SKU sales combinations.
