JDA’s MMS training program focuses on enabling the implementation team, users of the system and their managers to get the highest return from their host system investment. To provide your organization with essential tools and skills to manage the business, we have three areas of training:
- Project Team: The Basics of MMS Operation
- Super User: User Acceptance, Functional Support, and Financials (including AP, AR, and GL)
- End User: Role-based training for daily users
Project Team Training: The Basics of MMS Operation - This training has been built for the implementation project team, including business process decision-makers, change managers and training managers. The three-day, instructor-led MMS Fundamentals course will provide your implementation team with the tools to make recommendations and decisions about MMS base functionality and setup requirements. To ensure a successful MMS implementation, the project team is introduced to the major components of MMS needed for the discovery and design phases of your project.
Super User and End User Training - Super User training is for business users preparing to script and perform user acceptance training and/or deliver end user training within their organization. Super Users also serve as a resource or first line of functional support within their business areas.
MMS end user training is designed for associates who use MMS on a daily basis to perform their job function. This training is role-based and delivered in concise, focused segments to get end users up to speed quickly. End User Training focuses on the specific skill sets needed to successfully perform daily activities using MMS applications. End User training can be tailored and customized to targeted roles, with an emphasis on understanding the toolset as well as providing an understanding of how daily activities relate to the bigger process scope. This training is available for the base system and can also be customized as needed to reflect modifications made to MMS in your business.
Merchandising Training: The Merchandising Lifecycle - The primary reason for implementing a host system is to provide merchants with tools to manage their business. The merchandising lifecycle track helps buyers, inventory analysts, retail operations and store support personnel maximize the tools MMS offers. These courses demonstrate how greater productivity and profitability can be realized both in everyday merchandising operations practice and your use of PMM. This track is composed of seven instructor-led courses totaling 10 days. BMI will work with you to identify the right courses for the right roles within your company, from power-users to end-users.

Financial Training: The Bottom Line - Effective merchandising operations are only as strong as the knowledge and skills of the team responsible for collecting sales data, processing invoices, managing and collecting vendor rebates, and analyzing profitability. This track is for those individuals responsible for sales audit, invoice matching, rebates, and the retail stock ledger. Four instructor-led courses, totaling four days, provide your team with the knowledge and skills to make correct financial decisions, whether they are responsible for accurate sales data collection, matching merchandise receipts for payment, or managing retail stock ledger content and reporting. BMI will work with you to identify the right courses for the right team in your company.
