Space and Category Management Training

There are several directions or specialties you can pursue beyond the Space Planning core training. Here are some of our other offerings:

Space Automation Professional certification - Anyone who has worked with Space Planning extensively knows the value of creating automated processes to increase productivity or update information across multiple projects. Becoming a Space Automation Professional will enable you to make changes to scripts or create new scripts. This certification includes a two-hour e-learning module followed by a two-day instructor-led workshop and on-line exam.

Floor Planning Professional certification - This training will enable you to create store plans for remodels and new stores, execute all aspects of the floor planning process, determine which layout design best meets your business needs, and use floor plan analytics to determine planogram performance and consumer behavior. This certification includes a four-hour e-learning module followed by a one-day instructor-led workshop and on-line exam.

Efficient Item Assortment (EIA) Category Analyst certification - This training provides an overview of the EIA application and how it streamlines the analysis of large amounts of data while providing the flexibility to customize the analysis based on collaborative partner's needs. It offers introduction to using syndicated and internal data to provide recommendations for categories and assortments. This certification includes a four-hour e-learning module followed by a two-day instructor-led workshop and on-line exam.

Intactix Knowledge Base (IKB) Data Manager Specialist certification - This training provides an overview of the Intactix Knowledge Base® application. You will review the enterprise level datamart objects that IKB supports such as space planograms and floor plans, assortments, clusters, and shelf assortment data. You will learn how to make one change and have it populate across multiple applications. This certification includes two e-learning modules (four hours total) followed by a two-day instructor-led workshop and on-line exam.

Planogram Generator - The Planogram Generator course provides detailed look at the Planogram Generator tool available from Space Planning. This course is designed with the Space Planning end user in mind; it is not designed for functional administrators. You will learn how to use Planogram Generator actions to build and refine planograms. This course consists of a one-day instructor-led workshop.

Replace inefficient, traditional store clustering methods with a scientific approach. Channel Clustering provides you with the intelligent predictive and descriptive data mining algorithms and dynamic capabilities required to achieve assortment optimization. Training includes key Channel Clustering features:

• Groups stores based on consumer purchasing behavior
• Refines and improves clustering results
• Correlates census data attributes to more meaningfully characterize clusters
• Enables tailored assortments, including refined support for product launches
• Supports cluster-specific marketing strategies

Being able to develop specific business strategies and product assortments is a critical retail function. The Channel Clustering instructor-led workshop develops these skills in a hands-on environment. Students learn to create store groups and clusters, identify business drivers, analyze customer demographics, and learn to export store cluster output to other JDA applications.
