JDA’s manufacturing and supply management education program enables you to develop a demand-driven manufacturing and scheduling plan. Students learn to use multiple JDA Manufacturing & Supply Management tools to make critical decisions and perform key activities that ensure the right product is in the right place at the right time and that this is communicated throughout the entire network.
The current offerings for Manufacturing and Supply Management consist of traditional instructor-led workshops. Some workshops are paired with an online navigation module to be taken prior to attending the traditional classroom portion.
Basics of Master Planning - Master Planning involves how product flows throughout your network and where products should be optimally produced based on consumer demand. Concepts in this course include master planning basics, the effect of pre-build strategies and overtime on your daily activity, sourcing and plant loading decisions, and meeting business and inventory requirements. This is a four-day instructor-led workshop with one e-learning module on navigation.
JDA Master Planning Functionality Upgrade Overview - JDA Master Planning is an advanced planning solution used to create an accurate supply plan within the boundaries of the agreed policies and constraints of the business. This course covers the key areas of new functionality within the 7.4x version. Students discuss how the planning process has been enhanced and how to use JDA Master Planning to make effective business decisions. This course provides the fundamental knowledge and hands-on experience necessary for anyone that requires a high-level overview of the changes between versions 6.x and 7.4x.
Basics of JDA Sequencing - Sequencing enables you to reduce your organization’s planning cycle inventory throughout your corporate network. Students in this course will use demand information to generate a synchronized, demand-driven schedule, optimizing materials and resource capacities throughout the manufacturing process. This is a five-day instructor-led workshop. A typical student will have already taken Fundamentals of Master Planning.
Basics of JDA Supply - What drives the initial manufacturing plan? Your supply needs. Students in this course will learn to minimize supply costs and improve the bottom line while improving customer service. Students will use JDA Supply to plan material and capacity needs and create a high level production plan. This course offers students additional insight on decision-making, business constraints, and cost savings. This is a three-day instructor-led workshop.
Supply Chain Overview - Do you need a good solid foundation of what a supply chain is and the processes within the supply chain? During this one-day workshop, participants are introduced to the components involved in successfully managing a supply chain, as well as future trends in supply chain management. This introductory course combines lecture, discussion, and exercises to expand participants’ knowledge of supply chain processes, the benefits of managing the supply chain, and the business pressures facing the supply chain today.
